Increased fluid intake may relieve symptoms in some cases, but medical evaluation is often needed. Antibiotic treatment may be prescribed when clinically indicated.
The following symptoms may indicate a more serious infection and require prompt medical assessment:

A doctor can assess symptoms by telephone and advise on treatment. If physical examination is needed, a house call may be arranged.
